These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply to every purchase made on capes.rip (“we”, “us”, “our”). By placing an order you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not place an order.
1. What we sell
- We sell digital codes that unlock cosmetic capes on a Minecraft account. Codes are redeemed by you on the official Minecraft / Microsoft website.
- Images and 3D previews on this website are for illustration only. In-game appearance may differ slightly.
- capes.rip is an independent store and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or associated with Mojang Studios or Microsoft.
2. Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old, or have permission from a parent or legal guardian, to place an order.
- You must use a payment method that you own or are authorised to use.
3. Delivery
- Codes are delivered digitally to the email address entered at checkout and/or to your order page, usually instantly and in most cases within 24 hours.
- You are responsible for entering a correct email address. We are not responsible for delays or losses caused by a wrong email address, full inbox or spam filtering.
- An order counts as delivered as soon as the code is shown on your order page or sent to your email.
4. Redeeming your code
- Redeem your code yourself on the official website, on the Minecraft account you want the cape on. We will never ask for your account login or password.
- Each code can be redeemed once. Once a code is redeemed, the cape is tied to that account and cannot be moved to another account.
- Make sure you are logged in to the correct account before redeeming. Codes redeemed on the wrong account are not eligible for a refund or replacement.
- Keep your code private. Anyone who has the code can redeem it. We are not responsible for codes that you share, post publicly or lose.
5. All sales are final — refund policy
- Because our products are digital codes that can be viewed, copied and used the moment they are delivered, all sales are final once a code has been delivered. We do not offer refunds for change of mind, buying the wrong cape, redeeming on the wrong account, or no longer wanting the item.
- By completing your purchase you expressly request immediate delivery of digital content and acknowledge that, where the law allows, you lose any right of withdrawal once delivery has started.
- Faulty codes: if a code you received does not work, contact us within 7 days of delivery through a support ticket or our Discord. Include your order ID and a clear screenshot or screen recording of the error on the official redemption page. If we confirm the code is faulty and was not already redeemed by you, we will replace it. If no replacement is available, we may issue a refund at our discretion.
- A code reported as “already redeemed” after delivery is not considered faulty unless our records show it was used before it was delivered to you.
- Nothing in these Terms removes any rights you have under the mandatory consumer laws of your country.
6. Chargebacks and payment disputes
- Please contact us before opening a dispute with your bank, card provider or payment processor — most problems are solved quickly through support.
- Opening a chargeback or payment dispute for an order that was delivered as described is considered fraud. If you do this, we may:
- permanently ban you from capes.rip and refuse future orders;
- submit evidence of delivery to the payment provider, including order details, delivery time, IP address and code-redemption records;
- report the code as obtained through fraud and, where the platform allows it, request that it be revoked, which may remove the cape from the account it was redeemed on;
- recover any fees or losses caused by the dispute where the law allows.
7. Prohibited use and abuse
You agree not to:
- use stolen, unauthorised or someone else’s payment details;
- make false claims that a code was not received, does not work, or was already used;
- abuse coupons, promotions, giveaways or our affiliate program, including by using multiple accounts;
- resell codes bought from us without our written permission;
- harass, threaten or abuse our staff;
- try to exploit, attack or disrupt this website or our payment systems.
If we reasonably believe you have broken this section, we may cancel your order, withhold delivery, ban you from the store and keep any records needed to protect ourselves.
8. Our right to refuse or cancel
- We may refuse or cancel any order at our discretion, including for suspected fraud, payment problems, pricing errors or stock issues. If we cancel an order before a code is delivered, you will receive a full refund.
- We may ask for extra verification before delivering an order. Orders that are not verified within a reasonable time may be cancelled and refunded.
9. Prices and payment
- Prices are shown at checkout and may change at any time. A price change does not affect orders that are already paid.
- Payment must be received in full before a code is delivered.
10. Liability
- Products are provided “as is”. We are not responsible for changes, outages, bans or decisions made by Mojang Studios, Microsoft or any other third party, including changes to how capes are displayed or redeemed.
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. The version shown on this page when you place an order applies to that order.
